Yami Gautam was last seen in the film Dasvi where she co-starred along with Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur. The actress got a lot of criticism for her work in the film and even made headlines after a portal made a disparaging comment on her work in the film. What’s more, the actress also revealed how she got to fame with her work in films, calling out to the actors of tomorrow.
The actress shared, “I was pursuing honours in Law and I had a totally different ambition in life. When I went for the first time to the Head of Department at Punjab University where I was studying. He looked at me and said I can’t let you go; you are one of the good students, a top ranker. What he meant to say was that had I not been good at studies, he would have happily given the TC,”
Adding further on the actors she has met, who made it quite big in films, Kiara said, “Let me tell you all the people who have made it, at whatever different levels, are some of the smartest people that I have come across. So, it takes a lot to be here,”
The actress further revealed how she acquired success in the films, saying that how she doesn’t like the idea of being the centre of attraction, “I didn’t grow up thinking or being comfortable with being the centre of attention at all. I could stay quiet for hours and you wouldn’t notice that I am sitting right next to you. I was very reserved and extremely shy. And, the only time I mustered the courage to be at a podium was for a Hindi recitation competition and there also I looked at the judges and ran away from nervousness,” As quoted from Economic Times.
