As per reports in TOI, the animosity between the two built up due to self-proclaimed critic, Kamaal R Khan. Kamaal had randomly one day tweeted that Karan Johar had allegedly paid him money to badmouth Ajay’s film Shivaay and the reason behind that was because Shivaay and KJo’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil were both earlier releasing on the same day.
Ajay’s manager had even put the conversation on record and it was during that time, their relationship faced a bit of a misunderstanding. However, both soon decided to mend things up and now, they are extremely cordial to each other.
