The film was released in theatres on 25th January 2019. It is based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi. This film was also selected for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. The film became popular all over the world, and it was the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. Kangana was loved for her fantastic acting in this movie.
