Aamir Khan is one of the finest actors in Bollywood industry. He is all set to return to the big screen after four years with Laal Singh Chaddha, an official Hindi remake of 1994 cult Hollywood classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. Laal Singh Chaddha isn’t the first Hollywood remake that Aamir is starring in. The actor has starred in a lot of film that are remakes of some international movie. Check below! Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin starred Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt and was an unofficial remake of the 1934 Hollywood film It Happened One Night.

Aamir Khan starrer ‘Ghajini’ remains one of his most memorable characters. It was a remake of a Tamil film of the same name which was highly inspired by Christopher Nolan’s 2000 film ‘Memento’.

Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ is highly inspired by the 1958 Hollywood film, ‘House Boat’. The film starred Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla in lead roles. It also featured Kunal Kemmu as a child actor.

Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghulam’ is still one of the most talked-about movies of the actor. The Vikram Bhatt directorial was actually a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1988 film, ‘Kabzaa’ starring Sanjay Dutt, which in turn was a copy of 1954 movie, ‘On the Waterfront’.

The basic plot of Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti was inspired by Jesus of Montreal and All My Sons.
