The incident happened back in an award show, when Ranveer Singh made an entry on a crane, making eye contact to Amitabh Bachchan, pointing two fingers, Bachchan not understanding what the sign meant, he repeated the same to Ranveer Singh, later Ranveer threw the microphone at him, which Amitabh Bachchan managed to catch.
However, later Jaya Bachchan made him realise, what’s going on, “Mere bagal mein Jaya ji baithi thi. Bohot aahiste se kaan mein aaye, ‘Yeh tumhare liye nahi kar raha hai’ (Jaya was sitting next to me, she leaned in and whispered that the gestures were not for me).” He said, at Kaun Banega Crorepati, when Farah Khan and Deepika Padukone were invited to the show.
He added, “Bagal mein Deepika ji baithi hui thi. Yeh sab jo tha yeh tab chal raha tha aur tab inka vyah nahi hua tha (Deepika was sitting next to me. All this was happening. And this was when they were not married yet),” as quoted in Hindustan Times.
