Ingredients necessary
200 grammes of flattened rice, 1 green chilli, 2 onions, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 6 to 8 curry leaves, 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds, 1 tablespoon of urad dal, 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of roasted peanuts, 1 tablespoon each of lemon juice and coriander leaves.
Step 1
The flattened rice should be cleaned, then should be soaked for one to two minutes before being drained and placed aside.
Step 2
The onion should be chopped and left aside.
Step 3
Curry leaves, green chilli, mustard seeds, urad dal, and oil are added to a pan that has been heated. Give them space to splutter.
Step 4
Add the onion and cook it for two to three minutes. After cooking for another minute, add the turmeric powder.
Step 5
Add salt, sugar, and the rice that has been squeezed flat. Cook for 1-2 minutes after thoroughly mixing.
Step 6
Add the coriander leaves, lemon juice, and toasted peanuts. Mix well.
