Since he played Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars, Ansel Elgort has been our favorite heartthrob. This young actor is only a few years into his career in Hollywood, having arrived in the city in 2013. We still adore him, and did you know he can sing? If you don’t trust us, listen to his music on Spotify. If you’re as enamored with this young man as we are, you’ve undoubtedly seen every single one of his flicks. We developed a list in case you’re wondering if you have. This actor is recognized for his work in young adult films, so if you’re looking for a replacement for Ansel, here are his finest flicks, according to Rotten Tomatoes.
Baby Driver (2017): It’s no surprise that this action-crime drama is ranked first on this list. This film received three Academy Award nominations and stars Ansel Elgort, Jon Bernthal, Jon Hamm, Lily James, Kevin Spacey, and Jamie Foxx. Baby, a peaceful, music-loving young guy, is pushed into being a getaway driver by a crime lord in this film. This film is jam-packed with action, superb driving, and a banging soundtrack. It has just the right amount of Hollywood cheese to it and is truly gorgeous to see. Seriously, this film is for everyone, and Ansel is fantastic.
The Fault in Our Stars (2014): I’m sure we’ve all watched this teen romantic drama. You’re lying if you haven’t, and you’re also lying if you didn’t weep throughout it. This cinematic adaption of a John Green novel follows two young cancer sufferers. They go on a once-in-a-lifetime excursion to Amsterdam to meet their beloved author (Willem Dafoe). This film is both relevant and humorous, as well as heartbreaking. We can’t say enough good things about this film, which stars Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley, especially for a teen drama. Seriously, it’s lovely, lyrical, and very sincere. Tune in for a nice weep as well as a good chuckle. Or, better still, go watch it again right now.
Jonathan (2018): This film is significantly underappreciated, yet a 65 percent isn’t awful. This sci-fi drama revolves around Jonathan (Ansel Elgort), whose life appears to be rather ordinary. He goes to work, comes home, and sleeps. He does, however, have a sibling, and they share the same body. John is assigned to the night shift, while Jonathan is assigned to the day shift. As you can expect, things get complicated when John obtains a girlfriend and Jonathan decides he wants more. This film is odd, yet it received favorable reviews from critics.
