Kabir Singh has been one of the biggest hits, however, had sparked several controversies for its misogynistic storyline. The film is the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy that starred Vijay Deverakonda. However, Shahid Kapoor’s work has earned a lot of praise in the film.
But, to your amazement, it wasn’t Kabir Singh who was the prime choice of the makers, but Arjun Kapoor. The makers kept him in their minds and went further with the film.
However, the director of the film, Sandeep Reddy met Shahid then, who had watched the film before, and therefore decided to work together in the film, and likewise, Shahid Kapoor got roped in for the role, as stated in TOI.
