Raashi Khanna who has been seen in South films is enjoying the limelight after she was seen in a different avatar in the recently released Hotstar series Rudra. Raashi however, was in the spotlight for apparently having made distasteful comments about the South industry. A report on bollywoodhungama.com talked about how Raashi put forth her statement against this bad-mouthing on social media and asserted her stand. We take reference from that story for our write up here.
According to several reports, the actress allegedly made statements and called South industry ‘sexist’ and mentioned how they refer to actresses with tags and labels to only consider them as faces and not appreciate them for their talent and brains. Fans were irked by this statement which led to massive criticism against her online.
However, Raashii took to Twitter to dismiss these “fake reports” and tweeted a post explaining that she has “utmost respect towards each and every language/film” she is a part of. She claimed that the statements and reports against her were “fabricated and misconstrued” and urged the people who are spreading these false statements to stop. “Some fabricated and misconstrued content about me bad-mouthing south films is doing the rounds on social media. I request whoever has been doing it to PLEASE STOP. I have utmost respect towards each and every language/film that I do. Let’s be kind,” she wrote.

Well, glad that Raashi has clarified her stand!!
