Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the stunning south beauty, is a well-known name in the South Film Industry. The actress is known for her exceptional acting talent in movies like Theri, A Aa, Eega, Majili, Rangasthalam, Jaanu. Recently, as per reports in Times Now, the actress became a target of the trolls when she starred opposite RRR actor Ram Charan in the popular period action movie Rangasthalam. Samantha was trolled over her kissing scene with Ram Charan. Samantha has now hit back at the trolls who questioned how she could do a kissing scene with Ram Charan when she was married to Naga Chaitanya at that time.
Samantha told Deccan Chronicle during an interview back in 2018, “It is just a peck on the cheek and not a lip-lock. I know people were abusing as how I can do such scenes after my marriage. If married superstars do the same, will they ask such questions? Why me — because I am female? Moreover, my family is supportive, especially my father-in-law who phoo-phooed the detractors and hence I am working comfortably on the sets.”
Samantha announced separation from her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya last year. The couple announced their separation in a joint statement.
