Sonakshi Sinha’s power-packed role in Akira, made her synonymous of positivity and hope. The story plot showed the fight of the young girl Akira who takes courage in nabbing the criminals involved in throwing acid on a woman’s face. The journey sees Akira fighting through all odds, yet holding on to her stand of being honest.
Priyanka Chopra’s role in Fashion, was simply amazing!! This coming-of-age film on woman empowerment, traversed the journey of Meghna Mathur, who was an aspiring fashion model and went on to become a supermodel.
Vidya Balan in Kahaani played the role of a pregnant woman who went in search of her missing husband in the city of Kolkata. The movie celebrated the courage of the protagonist.
Sridevi’s comeback film English Vinglish saw the tale of a simple middle-class woman trying her best to regain her lost confidence and excelling in her academics.
Kangana Ranaut in the film Queen saw the tale of a silent character becoming so very assertive and confident.
