Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Panipat are two upcoming historic movies and are set to hit the theatre screens. Nowadays, there is a trend of making historic movies that are based on historical wars. In past times, there were many historic movies released and now this year, these two movies are ready to hit the theatres.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is directed by Om Raut and produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. The film features Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol. The film is set in the 17th century and is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha empire. The film is releasing on 10 January 2020.
The movie Panipat is based on the third battle of Panipat. The movie stars Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. The movie is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. In the 18th century, the Marathas were the most powerful empire in the whole India. But their happiness was short-lived as the Afghan king Ahmad Shah Abdali was planning to take over India. The Maratha Peshwa gave orders to Sadashiv Rao Bhau to stop the Afghan king. But both of them landed up having a battle between them and the third battle of Panipat was fought between the two armies.
