Selena Gomez reveals the meaning of matching rose tattoo with Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne and Selena Gomez have been close for years. They vacationed together in St. Tropez in 2014 and kissed each other at a Knicks game in New York City this past November. Recently, the two beauties got matching watercolor tattoos just in time for the new season of Only Murders in the Building.

As per reports in Vulture, NYC tattoo artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy showed off the watercolor roses he did for the two stars, revealing that it was his first-ever watercolor tattoo. He shared close-up pictures of the pink rose dripping down Gomez’s back and Delevingne’s rib cage; both roses are underneath their separate Roman Numeral tattoos.

As per reports in Buzz Feed, during her Live With Kelly and Ryan interview, the hosts asked Gomez about what the rose meant. “It means a couple of different things,” Gomez said. “But me and Cara [Delevingne], one of my best friends that I’ve known for—I was maybe 16 when I met her—she calls me ‘Rosebud.’ So, it’s a nickname, and I’ve always wanted a rose. Now, I got one and I love it.”

She added that Delevingne is not the only friend with whom she has gotten a tattoo. “Yeah, I do [have matching tattoos with friends]!” Gomez said. “I have, actually, multiple tattoos with people who have honestly left a significant mark on my life. I have one with Julia Micheals, my mom and my best friends.”
