In between takes, the three Spider-Men had a lot of fun. Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire — whose many versions of Spider-Man meet in the blockbuster film — share laughter and heartbreaking moments behind the scenes in two new Spider-Man: No Way Home blooper reel clips shared exclusively with People.
While they are both dressed as Spider-Man, Garfield, 38, walks up behind Maguire, 46, and gives him a heartfelt embrace. Maguire busts out laughing, which causes Garfield to chuckle as well. In another scene with the two co-stars, Garfield does some dramatic breathing for a climactic moment as Maguire stands by and watches. “It’s odd how long I’ve been gazing at you!” Maguire chuckles after a few moments of silence.
Holland, 25, and co-star Zendaya had some memorable and embarrassing moments while filming the sequel. “Save me, M.J.” Holland jokes to Zendaya after losing his footing while attempting to land during a scene in which he is carrying her character. The two laugh throughout the joke reel, with Holland asking the camera crew at one point, “You’ve been rolling this whole time?”
Maguire and Garfield reprise their parts as Peter Parker/Spider-Man from their previous film adaptations in the second half of No Way Home, in a scenario with several realities converging on current star Holland’s reality. Garfield discussed his working relationship with Maguire with Vanity Fair last month, saying that he “was extremely absorbed with what he was doing.”
