Anushka Shetty is one of the leading actresses in the South film industry. The actress is popularly known for her role of Devasena in Baahubali. The actress had also entertained the masses in a movie named ‘Size Zero’. However, not many know that she gained 20 kgs for her role.
As per reports in Republic World, in interaction with Quint, the actor revealed when the makers did a photoshoot with her using prosthetics, Anushka felt that her body looked fat but her arms and face looked leaner. That was a mismatch, which she felt would not look good on the screen. Thus, Anushka decided to gain weight naturally and put on 20 kgs to fit into the shoes of her character in Size Zero.
Size Zero featured Anushka playing the role of the main protagonist Soundarya, who is overweight yet courageous and independent woman. Although she was minutely conscious about her obese body, Soundarya never let it affect her mental health. But when her dream man picked another girl, Soundarya being devastated blamed her body and joined a weight loss clinic. In her battle against weight loss, Soundarya discovered the real meaning of beauty.
