Robbie Coltrane prominently known as Hagrid from the Harry Potter series has worked with Bollywood entertainer Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the 2006 British historical show film Provoked.
The film Provoked is approximately founded on the genuine story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia who was detained for killing her husband in 1989. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the lead of the film while her co-star from Bride and Prejudice (2004), Naveen Andrews played the part of her husband Deepak Ahluwalia.
In the film, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the part of Kiranjit Ahluwalia who accidentally sets her husband Deepak in fire in the wake of suffering ten years of homegrown maltreatment, ruthlessness and conjugal assaults. She is then accused of homicide and condemned to life detainment. In the jail, she becomes a close acquaintance with one more prisoner named Veronica Scott played by Miranda Richardson.
Veronica requests to her sibling Edward Foster, played by Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) to help in her allure. In the film, Coltrane is a profoundly regarded Queen’s Counsel. With the assistance of Coltrane, a NGO which battles against domestic violence at home assist her in her fight and helps her to come out from the crisis, as stated in Republic World.
