At the Met Gala, she experimented with exaggerated shoulder pads and sparkled in a glassy 3D printed dress. Nina Dobrev donned a low-key, laid-back ensemble as she left her hotel in the Tribeca section of New York City.
For her outing, the 30-year-old actor flaunted a candy-colored Polo Ralph Lauren sweater with a trim pair of trousers. The 5ft 7in Vampire Diaries actress wore a baby blue sweater from Polo with rows of calming pastel stripes on it. With her black trousers and a pair of practically identical black suede boots, she kept the attention on her colorful sweater.
She had pin-straight, shoulder-length brown hair and sported a beautiful pair of gold-framed aviator sunglasses. Nina first left the hotel with the same boxy red Louis Vuitton purse she wore to the fashion house’s Women’s Resort show, and then she came back with a smaller black DKNY bag. For her Louis Vuitton presentation ensemble, Nina referenced 1960s Space Age aesthetics even though she was toning things down.
The fabric of the dress was textured grey with colorful dot splotches, and the leopard print breast was framed by exaggerated frilled black shoulder pads and a collar made of black leather.
Even more extreme was her appearance at the Met Gala, when she donned a glass-like 3D printed shell that gave the impression that she was a living ice sculpture. She wore a Zac Posen dress and gleaming silver Louboutins to complete the look.
