Ranbir Kapoor has stated that Alia Bhatt, his wife and a co-star in the film Brahmastra, once left him pleased with her acting abilities. Almost ten years after Alia made her Bollywood acting debut as an adult, Ranbir and Alia will be seen acting together on screen for the first time in Brahmastra, which is scheduled for release in September of this year. Recently, Ranbir recalled how Alia’s second film had prompted him to laud her abilities.
In an Instagram live on Sunday on Alia Bhatt’s account, Ranbir Kapoor and the Brahmastra director, Ayan Mukherji, addressed their fans before the release of the movie’s first song, Kesariya. Ranbir lavished Alia with praise when a fan requested him to talk about working with Ayan and Alia; this made her blush.
He stated: “I only went to Ayan’s house when I noticed Highway and everything else. She turned out to be like Amitabh Bachchan, and I said, “Ye to Amitabh Bachchan nikli” and in her follow-up movie. But if I say such flattering things about my wife right now, people won’t take it seriously, so abhi biwi ke baare mein aise acchi acchi chijein bolunga to bolenge “haan haan.”
While collaborating on the movie in 2017, Brahmastra, Ranbir, and Alia fell in love. On April 14, they got married, and now they are expecting their first child. The couple was the subject of the first love song, Kesariya, which was published on Sunday. In the 2016 movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir and Anushka Sharma, Alia makes a cameo appearance as a DJ in the song The Breakup Song. They weren’t captured in the same frame, though.
