Yami Gautam doesn’t seek validation for her work or of her existence in the industry, read

Yami Gautam was last seen in Dasvi. The actress managed to earn her own foothold in the industry with her work. However, recently the actress made headlines after pointing out disparaging remarks made toward her on a portal.

That being said, she has recently said that doesn’t seek validation for her work or her existence in the industry.

Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Yami Gautam said, “I don’t wish to seek validation of my work, of my existence in this industry basis on some list. To each his own. With due respect, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You don’t need to be everywhere, you need to be here, you need to be in the moment and you need to do your job, which I think I’m doing something right.”

Recently the actress called out a renowned portal on her Twitter for their review of her character in the film Dasvi. The actress co-starred along with Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur in the movie.

Later in an interview with the Indian Express, the actress also spread the light on the kind of movies she would like to do in future, saying, “I really like to do films which resonate with my sensibility, but it doesn’t mean only intense roles. In the last year, I’ve had five performances that were pretty intense, which really took a toll on me. Whatever I do, it needs to engage you as an audience and make them believe that if I am a part of a film, there might be something different. The idea is to create my own audience, to create trust in people who watch my work,”
