After the sudden demise of Lil Peep on 15 November 2017, the world was left in deep shock. A talented musician leaving the world at such a young age is indeed a great loss. Lil Peep who’s birth name is Gustav Elijah Ahr was an American, rapper, singer, songwriter and a model. Lil peep is tributed as the leading figure of the mid-late 2010s emo rap scene and an inspirational figure to the outcast and youth subcultures.
Lil Peep first started releasing music on SoundCloud in 2014, from there started the rise of Gustav’s music career. He gained popularity on SoundCloud after he collaborated with Lil Tracy and after releasing several mixtapes. His debut album “Come Over when you are Sober” part-1 released in 2017. In the following year his second album “Come Over When you are Sober” Part- 2 was released. It was a commercial success and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200. But sadly Lil Peep couldn’t witness the success of his own song. A documentary film based on his life was released in 2019, called “Everybody’s Everything”.
It’s been three years since Lil Peep’s Demise but as long as his music is heard, he in a way is immortal. The legacy that he left behind at such a young age is eternal.
