The album’s tracklist is yet to be revealed, but it will include Bieber’s three most recent solo singles, “Holy,” which features Chance the Rapper, “Lonely,” which features Benny Blanco, and “Anyone,” which was released earlier this year.
“At a time when there’s so much wrong with our broken earth, we all desire healing – and justice,” Bieber said in a statement. “My goal in making this album is to make music that will bring comfort to people; songs that they can relate to and connect to, so they don’t feel so alone. People can feel helpless in the face of suffering, injustice, and agony. Music is a wonderful method for us to remember that we are not alone.
Music can help people connect with one another and relate to one another. I know that playing music alone will not cure injustice, but I do believe that if we all do our part by using our abilities to serve this planet and each other, we will be that much closer to being unified. This is a shot of me playing a minor role. This is where I come in. I’d like to continue the discussion about what justice looks like so that we can all heal.”
Justice was released on March 19, 2021, by Def Jam Recordings, following Justin Bieber’s Changes album.
