The death of Jonghyun, gave the biggest shock to the K-pop industry, a prominent member of the highly popular band SHINee. According to the Guardian, the group’s “earnest, keeningly romantic songs, paired with immaculate choreography” regarded them the absolute best of the K-pop genre. SHINee had really made it to the music world of fame and success through their amazingly talented band members.
The huge stress of the K pop industry and the pressures of popularity became too much as if it was all just throbbed upon on the 27-year-old Jonghyun, real name Kim Jong-hyun. According to CNN, he sent his sister a text, “Please let me go. Tell me I did well,” and, “Final farewell.” She contacted the police and they went to Jonghyun’s apartment, where they found him unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead later that night. Also according to the media information, Jonghyun was suffering from depression and had also sent a text to his friend that seemed like a suicide note.
So-jin was signed as a trainee and was also later regarded as a member of the music group ‘April’ that would produce music in the later years. Media resources say, it wasn’t clear what actually went wrong with her, they predicted that Jin was quietly dropped out of the music label so it was a huge shock for her, she suffered from depression and ended her life by jumping off from the 10th floor of her apartment.
