Armaan Malik, a singer who has been performing in many languages since he was nine years old, is pleased to witness the current emergence of regional music. According to him, social media has figured prominently in the regional entertainment firm’s positive story.
“I’ve been performing in several dialects for quite some time now. People are really beginning to know my variety and variety as a vocalist since a lot of the tracks have become famous and taking up,” adds Malik, who proudly asserts that he has developed the “capacity to move across languages with ease.”
Apart from Hindi, Malik is also recognized for performing in Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, and Kannada, with current hits including Butta Bomma, Guache Gulabi, Yaare Yaare, Hey Manasendukila, and Maamazhai Vaanam.
Arman says: “The beauty of music is that I don’t need to understand the words. You can duplicate anything if you can hear it and feel it. That’s how I’m wired. I’ve been doing it for a while and have a lot of experience recording in several languages. So now I can sing in any Indian language”.
When it relates to the popularization of ethnic music, Malik attributes it to media platforms.
“There are a plethora of social media channels that aid in the promotion of music. Regional music, particularly Tamil and Telugu, has done incredibly well in the previous two to three years,” he adds, adding that the popularity of the Baahubali trilogy aided the move.
