Who hasn’t heard the popular song, “My Universe” with its legendary collab! BTS and Coldplay are two extremely popular bands. And, these two artists seem to acknowledge each other’s genius. The two bands have been each other’s fans for quite some time now!

The Bangtan boys shared their admiration for Coldplay which they have harbored from quite a young age. But, what about the Coldplay side of this? What is it that draws Coldplay to BTS? This particular question’s answer is in the new “Inside ‘My Universe’ Documentary,” where Chris Martin, Coldplay’s lead singer states exactly what he loves about BTS.

As per a Pinkvilla report, Chris Martin heard the track, Butter along with BTS in the studio, and then complimented the members on it being a good song, as well as revealing that he likes a lot of their songs. According to the report, he gives them the reason why he is so drawn to their music as well.

He lists, BTS music has some “incredible production”. While BTS does their own songwriting, composition, and production that also have award-winning Korean producers like Pdogg working with them on the tracks.

He said their songs have “very unusual structures and different melodies to the ones I hear.” The singer pointed out that in the track, Mic Drop “It’s not something we could ever do,” which is why the singer admires it as “it’s a different skill.

He also noted that the members work together really well. He mentions “how everyone’s very individual, but they still work as a group.”

RM also adds to this when he mentions that maybe one reason why Chris Martin and Coldplay might be drawn to BTS is that they are a “new type of boy band,” that chooses to focus on dancing, unlike traditional bands that focus on playing instruments.

RM suggests that “he likes the idea that a band like us can be so popular globally.”
