Rosé is the stage name of Australian singer Roseanne Chae-young Park, who was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on February 11, 1997. She currently resides in South Korea. She is a Blackpink member. She was given the Korean name Park Chae-young and was born Roseanne Park in Auckland, New Zealand. She was raised in Melbourne, Australia.

Rosé was already passionate about singing as a youngster. She sang in the choir at their Australian church. In 2012, when she learned that YG Entertainment was holding auditions in Sydney, Australia, she immediately traveled there from Melbourne to try out. Rose won the top spot in the tryouts, and the next day she joined YG Entertainment. She underwent four years of training until YG finally made her the primary dancer and vocalist of Blackpink. She was the last band member to be made public. In Melbourne, Australia, she went to Canterbury Girls’ Secondary College.
