In 2012, when she learned that YG Entertainment was holding auditions in Sydney, Australia, she immediately traveled there from Melbourne to try out. Rose won the top spot in the tryouts, and the next day she joined YG Entertainment. She underwent four years of training until YG finally made her the primary dancer and vocalist of Blackpink.
