Jisoo of Blackpink has been a Dior devotee in recent years, wearing Maria Grazia Chiuri’s designs on repeat and carrying a CD-covered It-bag on her arm at all times. So it came as no surprise to the Blinks — Blackpink’s passionate audience – when Christian Dior announced Jisoo as its next worldwide ambassador for both fashion and cosmetics on March 6th.
“With her distinct daring, Jisoo epitomizes the house’s modernity and Maria Grazia Chiuri’s impassioned inventiveness, who was inspired by the Korean singer for her autumn/winter 2021 collection,” Dior told Miss Vogue. In forthcoming beauty ads, Jisoo will bring Christian Dior make-up creative director Peter Philips’ vision to reality. Despite the fact that Jisoo was unable to attend the resort 2022 Dior show in Greece, she made sure to “show up” virtually in a charming white costume complete with a traditional Dior purse and unique lace-up boots.
Jisoo was given an embroidered floor-length gown by Dior for her 26th birthday on January 29, 2021. She expressed her gratitude for the present on Instagram, saying she will “cherish it forever” and thanking creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
