While on 19 July, YG Entertainment revealed that BLACKPINK’s Jennie, “Jennie has been cast in HBO’s ‘The Idol’.”
The show is produced by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, ‘The Idol’ cast includes Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Tunde Adebimpe, and many other shows’ life of Hollywood pop idols and her engagement in various affairs behind the scenes in the music industry.
While further details on Jennie’s role in the show “The Idol” is yet to be disclosed, a BLACKPINK member relayed on her label, “As soon as I read the scenario, I thought that the story was very charming and so I wanted to be a part of it. I’m excited and will do my best, so I hope everyone will tune in warmly.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, BLACKPINK is planning to make their comeback in August this year.
