As long-time Britney fans, we’re overjoyed to see things finally turning around for her after so many years of negative press.
After over a decade of supposedly dominating every phase of her life—from her finances to her work choices to how frequently she could see her children—her father Jamie Spears filed to end his role as her conservator earlier this week, despite her repeated statements that she wanted the arrangement to end. This appears to be fantastic news!
And now, at least according to Spears’ lover Sam Asghari’s since-deleted Instagram account, she may be in for another thrilling surprise in the near future. On his Instagram stories, Asghari shared a snapshot of an engagement ring. The ring has a large diamond in the centre, and the word “lioness” is etched on the inside of the band.
Before the story was pulled down, one astute internet detective managed to get a screenshot of it. The post was quickly removed, and Asghari quickly put an end to the rumors with a new Instagram story that read, “Account got hacked and photoshopped — calm down everyone!”
This wasn’t planned to be an announcement, but it turned out to be. Was it? But, before we get too worked up over our disappointment, it’s worth remembering that Asghari was just seen shopping for jewels at the Beverly Hills Cartier.
