Lisa from BLACKPINK is without a doubt one of the most well-known superstars to come from her native Thailand. She was nurtured and born in the Southeast Asian nation before relocating to Korea at a young age to pursue her K-Pop idol aspirations.
Before making her BLACKPINK debut, she signed a deal with YG Entertainment and underwent years of training. Whistle and Boombayah, the group’s initial singles, propelled them to popularity and led to their immediate success. Lisa later achieved popularity as a model, posing for designer labels like Celine and BVLGARI.
It’s hardly surprising that many Thai children have selected her as their role model given her enormous accomplishments in a variety of entertainment-related fields. “I’m a role model in Thailand, but I don’t even know what type of artist I’ll be,” the BLACKPINK singer admits in the Netflix documentary Light Up The Sky. She was questioned about her intentions in an interview with the American publication Rolling Stone.
Since she is still “lacking in so many areas,” Lisa said, she isn’t sure that she should serve as their motivation. She feels that while she is young, she still has a lot to learn. She wonders when she will be ready to receive their admiration given that she still has many defects. She admitted modestly that she still has a ways to go.
Although Lisa might not think she is prepared to serve as a role model for Thai youngsters, many people will undoubtedly disagree. After all, she is adored by countless numbers of people! And the sentiment is clearly shared. Lisa raved about her love for Thailand in the music video for her solo debut, “LALISA.”
