Check Out: BTS Creates History As It Becomes The First Korean Band To Earn Three Grammy Nominations In A Row

BTS pulls in three gigantic Grammys nominations and officially turns 5 time Grammy nominated artists with the announcements.

BTS is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 under Big Hit Entertainment, which consists of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook who co-writes and co-produces much of their own material.

As per the recent announcement, the BTS has received 3 nominations in a single year in 2023 Grammy awards nominees. With this declaration, BTS becomes the first time to bring one of their Korean songs up for a Grammy.

The three Grammys nominations include:

1. Pop Duo/ Group
The first nomination received by BTS is in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. It is for a collaboration with British band Coldplay for their song ‘My Universe’.

2. Best Music Video
BTS’ second Grammys nomination came in their native (Korean) language song ‘Yet to Come’, which is their first ever Korean song to receive a nod at the event.

3. Album of the Year
BTS’ third nod was for Album of the Year as featured artists on Coldplay’s album ‘Music of the Spheres’.

Additionally, BTS has now become a 5 time Grammy nominated act and three historical nominations makes it the first time they are up for a win in more than one category.
