BTS Kim Taehyung almost had the name Dowoo, but however, was later named Taehyung. In the latest version of In the Soop 2, he said that his father wanted to name him Kim Dowoo, but it was his grandfather who insisted to name him Kim Taehyung.
He said, “My name was going to be Kim Dowoo, my dad and my grandfather were trying to choose between, ‘Taehyung’ and ‘Dowoo’, but my grandfather insisted on ‘Taehyung'”
To this RM jokingly said, “I bet if you were Kim Dowoo, your stage name would have Dough, ‘Hello I am Dough of BTS” as stated in World Hours 24.
