Dying lover of the Army? Well then, the question of how BTS members were found and how this legendary band was created must have likely crossed your mind. Well, BTS began its formation in 2010 after Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si-hyuk met with group leader RM who was immensely impressed with his rapping. BTS debuted in 2013 with their first-ever single, “No More Dream.” Since then, its members include RM whose full name is Kim Namjoon, who was the first member of BTS and is the band’s leader. Others include Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga, Jin, and J-Hope—which have become household names among K-pop fans everywhere. It is believed that Jin had no prior experience singing or dancing and because he was an acting major, Jin had auditioned to be an actor. Rumor has it that Jin became the singer that he is today through hard work and practice.
About a decade ago, however, BTS members were just seven, normal South Korean guys with dreams of pop stardom. Then came something with Big Hit Entertainment, which changed their lives permanently. As ARMYs comprehend, 2020 was indeed a landmark year for the band as after the release of its first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100, “Dynamite,”, BTS observed a huge success with two more number-one hits: “Savage Love” and “Life goes on”. The popular band was also nominated for their first-ever Grammy at the 2021 award show in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance class for its hit -“Dynamite.” With celebrity fans like Shawn Mendes, and Charlie Puth, BTS has become one of the largest and most famous legendary bands in K-pop history.
