The singer considered a synonym of versatility with an unmatched vocal range has given Bollywood most of the power-packed songs made in the last couple of decades – songs that brim with verve and life.

Sukhwinder Singh is an internationally acclaimed Indian Bollywood playback singer. Singh is famous internationally for singing “Jai Ho” from the film Slumdog Millionaire which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a motion picture. His rendition for the 2014 released film Haider fetched him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.

One of his most famous songs is “Chaiyya Chaiyya” for which he won the Best Male Playback Award at the 1999 Filmfare Awards. He first performed on stage at the young age of 8, singing the Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar number “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” from the 1970 movie Abhinetri. He also released a Punjabi album called Munda South-hall Da with T. Singh, joined Laxmikant–Pyarelal’s troupe, and quickly became a music arranger before heading to South India to look for work, wherein, he sang for the Tamil film Ratchagan.
