Lata Mangeshkar’s contribution to the music industry is immeasurable. She started an era and now the music has evolved over the ages. She was the first Indian to perform at the Royal Albert Hall. The talented singer is also a composer and loves to shape music according to her will. Soon after her father’s death, she debuted with her singing career with Marathi song, Naachu Yaa Gade, Khelu Saari Mani Haus Bhaari.
Although she made her debut at the young age of 13, the song was dropped from the final cut. Lata composed for the first time in the year 1955 for the Marathi movie Ram Ram Pavane. Also, she can sing in six different languages including Bengali.
Recently she was in bad health condition but is out of danger and all her fans are praying for her recovery…Hope we can hear her soon. Lata Mangeshkar bagged prestigious and respected awards like Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan to her name. She was ranked at number 10 in all-time greatest Indians in the year 2012.
