Jang Wonyoung of IVE explains how he went from being a rigid member to one of the most adaptable.

Jang Wonyoung of Ive recently wowed fans on Omniscient Point Of View with her extraordinary versatility. During the show, viewers got a glimpse inside her everyday routine, including her pilates classes. Wonyoung displayed her flexibility with different stretches in comparison to member Yujin, who started pilates later. Jang Wonyoung, an Ive member, has been doing pilates since early 2020! The idol enjoys pilates because it allows her to concentrate only on herself. Jang Wonyoung has demonstrated that she enjoys fitness to this day.

During her early days as a rookie artist, Wonyoung suffered from inflexibility.

But she wasn’t always that adaptable. Wonyoung’s adaptability is the product of her dedication. Wonyoung was so stiff at Produce 48 in 2018 that she couldn’t even complete a basic sitting stretch. Teacher Soyou had to assist Wonyoung by forcing him down.

But what about now? She’s one of IVE’s most adaptable members! On Video Star, she exhibited her abilities. She can’t just perform a front split, Wonyoung can also turn her legs and lean into the split.

Her flexibility comes from two years of regular pilates and stretching sessions. Wonyoung works out every week to improve her flexibility and core strength. It’s only logical that she was able to achieve what she has now after putting in so much work. Wonyoung is living proof that perseverance pays off. Over the course of a few years, she made significant progress because of her constant efforts.
