Camila Cabello rose to prominence as a member of Fifth Harmony, a girl quintet formed on Simon Cowell’s pop talent hunt show “The X Factor” in the United States. In 2012, she discovered the importance of prioritizing her mental health and putting herself first.
“If it’s affecting my mental health in a negative way, I’ll say no and do it another way,” Cabello said of her employment. Cabello, who made her acting debut in Kay Cannon’s updated version of the “Cinderella” fairy tale, has also spoken out about the love she receives from her fans, claiming she feels “very supported” by them on social media anytime she is body-shamed or criticized.
“There will be a community of women who have heard me talk about how it makes me feel the next time there are images of me with my belly out. and who support me,” Camila Cabello stated in an interview with the latest issue of HUNGER magazine. And it’s incredibly liberating.”
The “Havana” singer is preparing to release her third solo album, “Familia,” later this year, and has cited Billie Eilish’s last album, “Happier Than Ever,” as a big source of inspiration.
“I saw this remark from Billie where she said, ‘I wasn’t terrified, it wasn’t forced, there was no pressure, it was just really nice,’” she explained. And I feel the same way about the making of this album.”
