RM discussed BTS’s detractors in-depth during a live broadcast, including how to cope with them and what they represent in terms of the group’s success. BTS has been the subject of criticism since its debut, as many ARMYs are aware, despite its immense success over the years. RM, on the other hand, points out that being liked by everyone is impossible.
He meekly concedes that it might be his or the group’s responsibility, but he also accepts that there are occasions when it’s unjustified. He acknowledges that having critics outside of Korea is, in some ways, a measure of success.
RM said, “The presence of haters in the United States indicates that we have entered the mainstream. It’s fantastic.”
Though this truth may be detrimental to ARMYs, RM emphasizes that indulging in such bad conduct is a waste of time and energy.
Said RM, “Please don’t be bothered by that. The energy you would use there may be put to better use elsewhere.”
Furthermore, giving attention to hate remarks is precisely what they want, so it’s best not to interact. He explains that there’s nothing wrong with having an opinion like that, but when they take it outside their circle of friends and broadcast defamation for all to see, that’s when their actual goals are revealed.
RM said, “They don’t appear to be that cool, do they? It’s simple to make a snide remark.”
Finally, the greatest technique is just not to pay attention to haters’ comments. BTS is used to being the underdogs, so they know how to cope with naysayers’ misgivings.
According to his experience, some critics are fans on the inside! Rather than focusing on these individuals, RM concentrates on his development and does not seek out negative feedback.
RM Said, “There’s a fine line between haters and supporters, you know.”
