BLACKPINK made history by becoming the world’s highest subscribed music artist channel on YouTube.
BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl’s music band. The band consists of four members namely Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rose. This was the first girl band by YG Entertainment. They debuted with a very small album of two songs which became a hit at No.1
BLACKPINK achieved this milestone of 70 million on the YouTube channel on November 28 2021 and it has been only 5 years since the launch of the channel on 28 June 2016.
BLACKPINK transcends other globally admired music artist channels on YouTube platforms such as Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Marshmallow. Whereas Justin Bieber holds the second-highest subscribed position with around 66.4 million subscribers.
BLACKPINK ranked on the top 5 list of the most subscribed music artists on YouTube in July 2020 last year after the release of Lasila album from one of the members Lisa the YouTube channel gained over 5 million more subscribers after that.
BLACKPINK “DDU-DU, DDU-DU” song is the most viewed music video on the channel with over 1.7 billion views, while the other music videos like ‘Kill this love’ has over 1.4 billion views and ‘Boombayah’ has gained over 1.3 billions of views.
Achieving this milestone wasn’t easy for the band but they did it through their hardship and talent. We love our girls.
