Blackpink the popular K-pop group had grown quite a bit in popularity since they made their debut back in 2016 with their album Boombayah. As trainees, these girls worked hard with their dancing and singing skills! They even made appearances in other music videos and did a couple of modelling gigs before Blackpink was formed.
Each of the members of this 4-member group had quite a bit going on before they formed a group together! As per a Cheat Sheet report, Jennie was the first one of the members to join YG at the young age of 14. The rest soon followed, Lisa, the youngest, became a trainee in 2011 along with Jisoo. Rose was the last one to join in 2012. After years of practice, and quite a bit of uncertainty, the girls finally made their debut in 2016. The youngest members Lisa and Rose were 19, while Jennie was 20, and Jisoo was 21.
Jisoo as a trainee worked as an actress in the Epik High Spoiler Music Video. She also made a cameo in the show “The Producers.” She even had a model with the popular Korean actor, Lee Minho!
Jennie was quite the popular trainee. She had quite a few collaborations under her belt as a trainee including an appearance in G-Dragons’ song ‘That XX’ 3 years before her debut.
Lisa and Rose were also quite the impressive trainees. Even though they both faced their struggles because of the language barriers, they persevered and got through!
While there is no right estimate on how much they made before their debut, considering the gigs some of them were picking up, they made quite a bit. They have come a long way since their trainee days! So many of their tracks have broken records on YouTube and Spotify among other platforms. They even collabed with other popular stars like Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez Lady Gaga, and Cardi B. Their current net worth is estimated to be $25 million, as per a Cheat Sheet report.
