Jubin Nautiyal Is Perfect Musician For Song Remakes, Find Out Why

Know why Jubin Nautiyal is the perfect fit for remaking songs.

He’s probably best known for performing remakes of iconic songs like Humma Humma in Ok Jaanu (originally sung by Remo Fernandes in the 1995 film Bombay) and Kisi Se Pyar Ho Jaye in Kaabil (originally sung by Kishore Kumar as Dil Kya Kare in Julie, 1975). Jubin Nautiyal, on the other hand, is unconcerned about being labeled as “a vocalist who mainly sings remakes.” The singer considers himself “fortunate” to have made an impact with his renditions of the tunes.

“I never take too much pressure about getting typecast. I feel extremely lucky that I get to sing the songs I have grown up listening to. I get to sing them in the way I want to,” he says. As per Hindustan Times.

According to Jubin, remix versions provide a new perspective to the younger generation. “The younger generation has the opportunity to hear the same music and words that they have probably never heard before.” “I don’t know about anyone else, but in my family, so many youngsters hadn’t heard Dil Kya Kare before hearing my rendition, but now they realize how beautiful that song is,” Jubin continues.

The artist insists that he will never turn down a song simply because it is a version of an older tune. “A song is a song to me. It makes no difference if it’s a cover, an original track, or a folk song. I’ll sing a song if it’s nice and I enjoy it. I don’t have anything in my head that says if it’s a remake, I’ll sing it a certain manner, or anything like that,” he reveals.
