Recently, the 2022 CFDA Awards commenced in New York City. The event celebrates the fashionistas who aced innovation and excellence within the fashion industry this year. At the event, Katy Perry and Thomas Rhett performed alongside on “Where we started” and stole the spotlight.
Katy Perry followed Thomas Rhett’s playing field at the award show, and performed by donning a black cowgirl hat with her strapless denim gown that feautured a fringed slit. While, Thomas Rhett kicked off the performance on his own in an all-black outfit.
Katy Perry joined Thomas Rhett for the second verse and sung, “I’d be playin’ my guitar, singing them covers in an empty room/ You knew one day I would make a livin’ out of singing ’bout you.”
Katy Perry also took to her instagram handle and shared a clip from the outstanding performance and penned, “County Girls, We’re Unforgettable. Thankyou for welcoming me into the community @thomasrhettakins @cma.”
Meanwhile, speaking of “Where We Started”, it is the title track from Thomas Rhett’s most recent album, released in April. Also, Katy Perry and Rhett released a music video for the song last month.
