Katy Perry has always had a flamboyant sense of style throughout her career, and that hasn’t changed even while she’s served as a judge on American Idol for the last three seasons! The singer sits on the judges’ panel alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, and as the sole woman, all eyes are on her outfit choices during each show. On April 26, she had one of the most unforgettable Idol looks of all time during the show’s first-ever virtual episode. Katy dressed up as a gigantic hand sanitizer to remind viewers to wash their hands and be safe in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Yes, she wore it for the WHOLE TWO-HOURS of her home broadcast!
Her most memorable outfit from season 17, which aired in 2019, was when she channeled Ursula from The Little Mermaid for Disney Week. While the other contenders stepped to the stage to sing Disney songs, Katy went all out to dress like the evil octopus, and she nailed it. Her gigantic tentacles made sitting a little uncomfortable, but the photo chances that came with her iconic appearance were well worth it! Katy even had her face painted purple and her hair done in a crazy mohawk to fully capture the essence of Ursula, and we loved it.
