The BTS Army is thrilled to know about the BTS Members. All the members in the band have unique names, while some have used their original names others used a shortened version.

Let’s start with RM – The BTS Leader. His real name is Kim Namjoon. In layman’s language ‘Namjoon’ refers to ‘The Genius from South’.

Jin – The eldest member of BTS, his original name is Kim Seokjin, after his grandfather. The meaning of this title is ‘Great Treasure’ which he truly is, for the Army.

Suga – The Rapper’s real name is Min Yoongi or Min Yunki. Suga mentioned that he doesn’t know the true meaning of his name but it has a Hanja character that has been passed down over generations in his family.

J-Hope – The box hitmaker, his kosher name is Jung Hoseok. He was named by his parents after a temple, they liked to visit. Meaning ‘a name that will spread throughout the country. Well, instead his name has earned fame throughout the world.

Jimin – His real name is Park Jimin. Just like Jin, Jimin was also named after his grandpa. Just like the kind and pure soul he is, his name also refers to someone ‘whose wisdom would reach beyond the sky’.

‘V’ – His actual name is ‘Kim Taehyung’ he’s equally famous. ‘Taehyung’ means ‘all wishes will come true and guess what, V’s already fulfilling his desires.

Jungkook – BTS’s youngest member, his full name is Jeon Jungkook. Just like other members of the band, he was also named after his Grandfather. The name Jungkook defines as the pillar of a nation. Although, he wasn’t so sure. He mentioned that The Army and other BTS Members are for sure the pillar.
