Kumar Sanu to Shaan; underrated singers of Bollywood

Here is a list of underappreciated Bollywood singers, from Kumar Sanu to Shaan, whose songs we particularly enjoyed but who are not very well-known.

Bollywood and music go together like peanut butter and bread. None of the genres, songs, dance, and music sequences are an essential feature of every Hindi movie. The voice of the vocalists is what gives a song life on the screen.

Bollywood has produced numerous outstanding vocalists throughout the years, but they are merely names that became more well-known. There are still some vocalists who, although having great skill, haven’t found much success.

Kumar Sanu

He is very straightforward, which is not regarded favorably in the film industry, and this causes many people to believe that he is Rude. Tujhe Dekha to yeh Jana Sanam from DDLJ (1996), Do Dil Mil Rahe Hai from Pardes (1998), and Aankhon ki gustakhiyaan maaf ho from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam should have earned him Filmfare awards, according to critics.

Lucky Ali

The most recent time we heard Lucky Ali was in the Tamasha song Safarnama (2015). Although Ali was a well-known name in the 1990s, he never received enough credit for the genre of music he produced. The soulfulness of Ali’s voice brings the lyrics he sings to life, whether they are from his albums like O sanam and Aa bhi ja or his Bollywood songs like Aahista Aahista, Safarnama, and Ek Pal ka Jeena

Anuradha Paudwal

Popular Bollywood songs like Tu mera hero hai, Dil hai ke manta nahin, Dhak dhak karne laga, and Bahut pyar karte hain include playback singer Anuradha Paudwal. She has also contributed her voice to numerous religious songs, including bhajans and bhakti songs.

KK

The most underappreciated Bollywood singer is KK. In fact, among singers of his generation, KK has what is possibly the most flexible voice. Due to his limitless vocal range, he is able to sing both the lowest and highest notes with ease.

He made his debut in 1996’s Gulzar classic “Machis,” singing the well-known song “Chod Aaye Hum” alongside veteran vocalists Hariharan and Suresh Wadkar. Since then, he has added his smooth touch to other well-known and timeless songs.

Shaan

During the height of his career, Shaan produced a number of hits in different Indian languages. With songs from movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Fanaa, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Munnabhai M.B.B.S., and countless others, the singer established a name for himself in the early 2000s. The artist, though, hasn’t contributed his vocals to a Bollywood film single in a while. “I believe there is a bond with that generation, and perhaps that is why I don’t receive many songs,” he added.
