Lata Mangeshkar Gave Asha Bhosle This Gift Six Months Before Her Death

Six months before her death, Asha Bhosle discloses the present she acquired from her sister Lata Mangeshkar.

Veteran vocalist Asha Bhosle performed as a guest on Dance India Dance L’il Masters. She shared some of her favorite recollections of her sister Lata Mangeshkar, who died on February 6 of this year.

Asha made everyone cry on the dancing reality program as she told about the final present she received from Lata Didi. She stated that Lata didi told her five to six months before her death that she may ask her anything she wanted. According to Asha, she requested an old saree with her signature. The singer proudly displayed the saree to the audience. Judge Mouni Roy became upset as a result of that. Asha claims that the saree is more valuable to her than all of the world’s worldly possessions.

Asha reminisced about their early day. She claimed that there were numerous trees in Kolhapur and that if Lata hurled stones at the Gulmohar tree, she would be pursued by others. Lata was dubbed ‘jafarabadibrains’ by her mother because of her long pigtails. The sisters used to pull Lata’s pigtails even if it was just to stop her.

Asha explained that Lata thought washing her parents’ feet and drinking the water was a blessing since her parents are more powerful than god. According to Lata’s directions, Asha once purchased water and cleaned her parents’ feet. Despite her refusal to drink the water, the elder sister did so when Lata urged her to.

After seeing a dance act based on Lata Didi, Asha Bhosle indeed cried. Lata Mangeshkar died of multi-organ failure on February 6 at Breach Candy Hospital. Many people paid their respects to the ‘Nightingale of India’ on this day.
