Armaan Malik and Amaal Malik, the musical brothers are at the forefront of India’s music industry ever since they first debuted in 2014. With their Grandfather being Sardar Malik, Father being Daboo Malik and Uncle being Anu Malik, it’s no wonder that music runs in their DNA.
Coming from a musical family, the brothers had a natural inclination towards all things music. The both started learning music at a very young age. But being brothers did not stop them from carving their own musical identity. Instead of being a duo, the two have showcased their individual musical prowess and made a separate name for them in the industry. And when they come together, they create magic with their beautiful compositions and brilliant vocals.
Older brother Amaal Malik is trained in classical Indian music under the guidance of his grandfather. Before making his official debut in 2014 as a music composer for Salman Khan’s movie Jai Ho for which he composed 3 songs, he had assisted his father and various other music artists for Bollywood songs from a young age of 15.
It was in 2015 that Amaal found his first big Bollywood hit ‘Sooraj Dooba Hain’ which earned him immense recognition and a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.
While his younger brother Armaan Malik started off his singing career when he participated in the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs where he was placed 8th. He made his Bollywood debut by singing 3 songs including the movie title track for Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’. He was awarded with the prestigious Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent in 2015.
Armaan has sung many songs under the composition of Amaal. The musical brothers often collaborate together having delivered hits like Sau Aasmaan, Buddhu Sa Mann and Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon.
