Nicki Minaj has announced the release of her new single, ‘Bussin,’ which follows up on her prior hit, ‘Do We Have A Problem?’
The latter song was the rapper’s first new content since her mixtape, ‘Beam Me Up Scotty,’ released in 2021.
Buffs will not have to wait long for Minaj’s next release, she has confirmed. ‘Bussin’ will be released on Friday, February 11th, and will contain a cameo appearance by Lil Baby, similar to ‘Do We Have A Problem?’ “We pushing B for Bussin btch WTF IS GOOD,” Minaj tweeted, referring to Gunna, Future, and Young Thug’s song “Pushin P.”
Her post also announced the release date for ‘Bussin,’ and the singer has also released the artwork for the single. The sleeve depicts Minaj standing in the center of a red-lit hallway, similar to the one featured in the video for “Do We Have A Problem?”
The end of the almost 10-minute video for ‘Do We Have A Problem?’ featured footage of Minaj and Lil Baby holding a pistol up to actor Joseph Sikora after he tracked them down in Cuba, hinting that there was more to come.
Minaj started last week (February 4) that she will continue to produce music for as long as she wants, with the intention of only leaving the industry on her own terms and when the time is appropriate for her. Jayda Cheaves pledged to “carry on putting out music” in an Instagram Live session to mark the release of her first song of the year.
Minaj said: “I have a genuine fan following, not bought bots, I’ll never – and I’ve stated this before, many years ago – I’ll never quit the game until I want to leave it. It will be on my terms at all times. I know I’m deserving of this opportunity. I’m confident that I put in the effort.”
