The recluse singer – Arijit Singh

Arijit Singh is everywhere and nowhere, at the same time! He is India’s number one singer, an indie filmmaker, composer-programmer and yet, quite a recluse.

The recluse singer – Arijit Singh 2

Arijit Singh is reigning the Bollywood music industry and has become the king with has a golden voice. He was born to a Punjabi father and a Bengali mother and the latter’s family has always been in music. A Kolkata boy at heart, Arijit Singh has never really been an all out explosive person; he likes to me recluse to the point that the whole nation knows that is everywhere, because he is so famous, yet he is nowhere, because he loves keeping it all on the down and low.

He participated in Fame Gurukul but couldn’t win the show. Later, he even participated in a show “Dus ke Dus le Gaye Dil” where contestants from Indian Idol competed with the ones from Fame Gurukul and that is when this young lad’s true talent and mettle was discovered. Arijit won that competition.

He rose to fame for the song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from Ashiqui 2. Some of his other hits that put him on a pedestal right away were Phir Le Aaya Dil, Zaalima, and Channa Mereya, which hit the box-office and turned heads ever since they played for the first time. India’s sensational playback singer, Arijit Singh never had to look back after his mega super hit song ‘Tum Hi Ho’. Arijit got married to his childhood friend Koyel Roy in 2014.

He has always won our hearts with his magical voice and will continue to do so forever. Arijit Singh may not be a man of many words but his songs speak plenty for him, and melodiously so. We are always waiting for the next Arijit song to be able to sway in the romantic nuances and lose ourselves in those soothing notes and his golden voice.
