Selena Gomez’s months of isolation might have easily been a relaxing time for her. During the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, however, she appeared to be working harder than ever. During her months of isolation, the singer completed over a dozen projects. She also worked on her Grammy-nominated EP, Revelación, and shot her Hulu program, Only Murders in the Building. She also launched her food program, Selena + Chef, and had success with her business, Rare Beauty.

Gomez, a long-time eater, wanted to take advantage of her free time at home to finally learn how to cook. She also wanted to discover a safe method to interact with others. As a result, Selena + Chef was born. The “Lose You to Love Me” singer virtually teams up with a master chef in each episode to learn how to prepare a meal. All of this is done from the comfort of her own home.

Selena + Chef has been a huge hit thus far. The cooking program gives viewers a glimpse into the Wizards of Waverly Place alum’s personal life that they don’t normally get to see. Fans will be able to see Gomez master new talents and continue to improve her culinary abilities. The involvement of the singer’s friends, housemates, and family members also adds a personal touch to the concert.

Selena may not be a professional chef like her co-stars, but she’s giving it her all — and learning from the best of the best.
