Selena Gomez’s 2020 song Boyfriend’ music video released on 10th April. You work from home playlist has the much-needed pop song now. After quite a bit of teasing, Selena finally released three new songs: “She,” “Souvenir,” and “Boyfriend.” But to tell the truth, “Boyfriend” has been the clear star since Selena Gomez admitted it was one of her favourite unreleased tracks. Interestingly enough, “Boyfriend” came to be over a series of text messages, of all things.
Well, the music video lives up to the old adage that you have to kiss a few frogs before finding your prince. In Selena’s own words, “Boyfriend” is a “lighthearted song” that’s about “falling down and getting back up time and time again in love but also knowing that you don’t need anyone other than yourself to be happy.” The music video for it is like a darker, frog-filled parody of The Bachelor, which is a treat in and of itself. Well, she announced the release on twitter with a quirky caption. She said, “Wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and listen to ‘Boyfriend’ on @AppleMusic’s A-List Pop Playlist!’
